artist statement

i am a life long questioner and have always wondered about the usefulness of artist statements until i realized that the very questions i ask myself as i contemplate work and make it  could well stand in for an artist statement~~~what am i here for?~~~can the sacred be felt or seen in my work?~~~in what ways is my work separate from me?~~~how is my work an extension of me?~~~does my work transmit the feelings i have while making it?~~~in what way is my work a reflection of myself?
